Yishai Rubin (Israel)
Born in Israel, Yishai Rubin studied the piano with Rina Rosenman at the Ron-Shulamit Conservatory in Jerusalem, and later on with Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky at the Buchmann-Mehta High School of Music in Tel-Aviv University. He then continued his studies at the New England Conservatory in Boston.
In addition to his piano studies, Yishai has studied music theory and composition with Prof. André Hajdu, and in recent years entered the field of musicological research, completing a Master of Arts program at the Hebrew University. In the coming fall, he is expected to enroll in the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Bloomington, , as a doctoral candidate in Musicology.
Yishai has performed in numerous concerts and participated, as a solo pianist, chamber musician and vocal accompanist in various music festivals worldwide. A laureate of many national competitions, he also appeared as a soloist with several Israeli orchestras. Currently, he belongs to the faculty of Hassadna Conservatory in Jerusalem as well as the faculty of Keshet Eilon periodic Seminars for Israeli String students.
