SUMMARY:The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari - silent film with original live music accompaniment
DESCRIPTION:This performance revives the tradition of watching old films as it was done about a hundred years ago\, in which live music was performed to accompany the film and enhance the audience’s experience. \nThe Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)\, one of the masterpieces of the twentieth century directed by Robert Wiene\, unfolds the delirious story of Dr. Caligari\, the obedient Cesare\, the somnambulist fortune-teller\, and the residents of a small German town in which a series of mysterious murders takes place. \n“The film has been screened in this format at many festivals in Israel and in Europe. \nThis Hebrew text translates to English as:“The brothers Yoni (cello) and Yuval (viola) Gotlibovich have been playing together since they started playing about 30 years ago. \nToday they maintain leading\, independent\, multidisciplinary careers.

SUMMARY:Screening of the film - 'Orna and Ella' produced by Heiman Brothers Films\, and a conversation with creator Tomer Heiman and one of the film's heroines.
DESCRIPTION:26 years after the restaurant Orna and Ella opened on Sheinkin Street and became a successful Tel Aviv culinary institution\, Orna Agmon and Ella Shine decide to close their shared life’s work. \nIn the last week of the establishment’s operation\, director Tomer Heiman\, who worked during the restaurant’s early years\, accompanies them. The intense dynamics that accompany the final days and the farewell from the customer community\, the recipes\, and the employees\, \ncreates intimate and one-time conversations. The complex relationship between the two women is revealed through a spectrum of intense emotions\, including love\, emotional dependency\, other desires\, and fears. \nThe film dares to ask questions about self-fulfillment\, the price of freedom\, and longing for a time that will not return.

SUMMARY:Festive Opening Performance - The Israel Camerata Jerusalem with Soloist Violinist Itamar Zorman
DESCRIPTION:Festive Opening Performance – The Israel Camerata Jerusalem with Soloist Violinist Itamar Zorman\nThursday\, October 30\, 2025\, 9:00 PM\, Bar Orian Hall\nThe concert is dedicated to the late Yehuda Zisapel\, a man of hi-tech\, music\, and culture.\nA partner in the journey of “Keshet Eilon” who contributed greatly to Israeli classical music.\n \n  \nThe opening concert of the Keshet Eilon concert series will be a spectacular event by the Israel Camerata Jerusalem. In this festive performance\, the Camerata will host the wonderful soloist violinist Itamar Zorman. \nThe Israel Camerata Jerusalem orchestra was founded in 1983 by Professor Avner Biron in Rehovot. Within a short time\, the orchestra gained an important place on Israel’s musical map\, became the leading chamber orchestra in Israel\, and is now considered one of the best chamber orchestras in the world. Biron’s uncompromising professional work with the orchestra\, combining immigrant musicians with Israeli musicians and creating original and unique concert programs\, brought the Camerata to special qualities\, expressed in the highest level of performance and stylistic precision. \nIn addition to the international repertoire the orchestra performs\, Biron makes sure to commission original works from Israeli composers\, thus contributing to original Israeli creation. \nBeyond its professional and cultural importance\, the orchestra shows great social involvement and does much for musical education in the country\, by instilling music among Israeli children\, through adapted and explained concerts that make the world of classical music accessible to young audiences. \nProgram: Mozart / Violin Concerto No. 4\, K. 218 \nBach / Violin Concerto in E Major\, BWV 1042 \nSchubert / Symphony No. 5\, D. 485 \nTicket purchase link: https://www.eventer.co.il/ka7nf
