Festive Opening Performance – The Israel Camerata Jerusalem with Soloist Violinist Itamar Zorman
Thursday, October 30, 2025, 9:00 PM, Bar Orian Hall
The opening concert of the Keshet Eilon concert series will be a spectacular event by the Israel Camerata Jerusalem. In this festive performance, the Camerata will host the wonderful soloist violinist Itamar Zorman.
The Israel Camerata Jerusalem orchestra was founded in 1983 by Professor Avner Biron in Rehovot. Within a short time, the orchestra gained an important place on Israel’s musical map, became the leading chamber orchestra in Israel, and is now considered one of the best chamber orchestras in the world. Biron’s uncompromising professional work with the orchestra, combining immigrant musicians with Israeli musicians and creating original and unique concert programs, brought the Camerata to special qualities, expressed in the highest level of performance and stylistic precision.
In addition to the international repertoire the orchestra performs, Biron makes sure to commission original works from Israeli composers, thus contributing to original Israeli creation.
Beyond its professional and cultural importance, the orchestra shows great social involvement and does much for musical education in the country, by instilling music among Israeli children, through adapted and explained concerts that make the world of classical music accessible to young audiences.
