Juan Songel Sanchis is a Spanish pianist whose work as a soloist and member of chamber music ensembles has taken him to countries such as Belgium, Russia, Greece and Luxembourg, and to national concert halls such as L’Auditori in Barcelona, the Auditori Pau Casals in El Vendrell and the Palau de les Arts, as well as to festivals and concert series including the Piano Meeting in Ourense, the Klarafestival, the Europalia Arts Festival and the Festival Emergents, among others.
He began his musical training with his grandfather and later at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Valencia, where he graduated with honours. He then entered at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Rafael Salinas’ class.
He continued his training in various advanced courses and masterclasses, where he received advice from teachers such as Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Maria Joao Pires, Tatiana Zeligman, Tamas Vasary, Josu de Solaun, Vladimir Tropp and Imre Rohmann, among others.
He holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Music cum laude from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where he studied with Professor Daniel Blumenthal. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Musical Performance and Research, specialising in research, from the International University of Valencia (VIU).
Since 2020, he has been a professor of piano repertoire at the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Salvador Seguí’ in Castellón.
