What to Expect?

The program offers individual instruction through lessons and performing classes led by world-renowned artists and teachers, innovative workshops, and the opportunity for participants to perform as soloists in daily concerts.

A unique aspect of our program is the archery workshop, specially designed to benefit string players.

Who Can Join?

Every summer, we welcome 50 to 60 exceptional students, many of whom are winners of international competitions and are at the early stages of their professional careers. Our alumni community boasts over 1,850 graduates who continue to excel in the music industry as soloists, conductors, and members of prestigious orchestras worldwide.

Candidates to the Mastercourse are talented string students aged 16-26, after submitting their application and a successful audition.

Keshet Eilon may consider accepting musicians under the age of 16 in exceptional cases only after meeting all registration terms, including an audition. If a candidate under 16 is accepted, they must be accompanied for the entire course by a guardian (parent/family member).

All participants must attend the Mastercourse in full.

Repertoire

Each applicant is requested to submit a list of five or more pieces for study during the Master Course. These should represent different styles and periods, as indicated below:

Baroque or Classical sonata

Romantic or 20th-century sonata

Solo/unaccompanied piece

A substantial 19th- or 20th-century work

A Concerto

Other works that have been previously studied or performed

Be specific: include the composer, full title, and all relevant details with correct spellings. List only works you intend to study. This list will be considered final and will determine the concert programs during the Master Course.

During the Master Course, there will be opportunities to perform the pieces you have listed, although the final decisions will be at the discretion of the artistic direction. The final date for submitting any changes to your list is June 1.

You will be required to bring the piano scores, or a digital shareable version, of these pieces with you to the Master Course.
