Amelia Korbitz

Amelia serves as Executive Director of the Antigone Music Collective, an organization committed to championing contemporary composers through accessible venue programming and commissioning works by underrepresented artists. In 2024, the collective served as resident artists at Iceland’s Vid Djupid Music Festival, performing both with Orchester im Treppenhaus and as a piano trio.

From 2020 to 2023, Amelia founded and led the Antigone String Quartet, which toured extensively throughout the United States and France. The quartet held residencies at prestigious festivals including the Southern Illinois Music Festival, Musica Le Mans, Musica Malicorne, and the Ascent Chamber Music Festival.
As a soloist, Amelia has performed with the Southern Illinois Music Festival Orchestra, West Suburban Symphony, and CCM Philharmonia Orchestra, demonstrating her versatility across both chamber and orchestral settings.
Her leadership combines artistic excellence with a commitment to expanding classical music’s reach and inclusivity, fostering new voices in contemporary composition.
