Brigid Dever has a decade of ensemble experience spanning a diverse range of formats, including string quartet, cello quintet, string sextet, octet, and various cello ensembles. She has been a member of both the Austin Youth Orchestra and the Austin Civic Orchestra, and has been selected to perform Bloch’s Schelomo as a soloist with the Austin Civic Orchestra in the upcoming season. She was also selected as a member of the Texas All-State Symphony Orchestra.
Brigid attended the Castleman Quartet Program, where she studied intensively in a string quartet and participated in masterclasses with Charles Castleman and Eric Wilson. She has additionally taken part in masterclasses with Darrett Adkins and Horacio Contreras.
Alongside her performing career, Brigid has extensive experience tutoring younger students and coaching chamber groups. She is also an active volunteer, having performed in churches, nursing homes, and hospitals.
