Jessica Wu from New York City is a current student at Columbia University and the Juilliard School pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Humanities and Music in the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange under the tutelage of Lewis Kaplan.
She has been invited to the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Lucerne Festival Academy, National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, Universität Mozarteum Sommerakademie, and Bach Virtuosi Festival.
She has collaborated with conductors Susanna Mälkki, Christian Eschenbach, David Robertson, and has had masterclass opportunities with Ani Kavafian, Gilbert Kalish, and Orli Shaham, among others.
She currently serves as concertmaster of the Columbia University Bach Society Orchestra, assistant concertmaster of the Columbia University Orchestra, and violin mentor for the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestras.
