Louise Turnbull, 19, is a passionate young violinist, and a current Australian Chamber Orchestra Emerging Artist, most recently performing on the ACO ‘Brahms and Beethoven’ national tour. She is also in her third year at the Australian National Academy of Music, studying with Adam Chalabi and Sophie Rowell.
Louise has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras, with repertoire including Brahms, Beethoven, Dvořák, and Sibelius Violin Concertos. In 2023, Louise was a part of the Ears Wide Open concert series and had the opportunity to perform part of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Louise is also a keen chamber and orchestral musician, and is an alumni of Australian Youth Orchestra.
Louise is looking forward to continuing her musical studies in Europe in the near future.
