Maksym Synytskyi

Born May 2, 2004, in Donetsk, Ukraine, Maksym Synytskyi began his violin studies at age six. He initially attended the Donetsk Music Academy named after Sergei Prokofiev, but the 2014 conflict forced his family to relocate to Odessa, where he continued his education at the Prof. P. Stolyarsky Music Lyceum.
Maksym’s early talent was recognized when he won the “Talents of the World” contest in 2019. He gained valuable orchestral experience performing with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine as part of the first violin section.

The 2022 war necessitated another relocation, this time to Belgium, where Maksym studied at the Brussels Royal Conservatoire under Tatiana Samouil. He subsequently moved to Switzerland and currently studies under Sergey Ostrovsky at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in Neuchâtel.
Maksym has performed at prestigious venues including Franz Liszt Hall and the United Nations. His achievements include earning second prize and a contemporary piece award at the 2024 Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition.

His musical journey reflects both exceptional talent and remarkable resilience in the face of circumstances beyond his control. He continues to pursue excellence despite multiple relocations due to conflict.
