Monty Guo

Monty Guo began his violin journey at age four under Peter Zhang, later developing his artistry with Shu Qi Mou and Evgeny Sorkin in the Rising Stars program at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. At nineteen, he studied with Professor Alice Waten before relocating to London to pursue his Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music under Dr. Robin Wilson. His London experience has proven transformative, broadening his artistic perspective and fostering connections with musicians from around the globe.

As a soloist, Monty has graced prestigious stages including the Sydney Opera House and performed at festivals in Finland and Berlin. Notable performances include the premiere of Daniel Rojas’ Viaje de Sueños with the Australian Youth Ballet and a compelling interpretation of Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht with Ensemble Apex.
