Norea Quirijnen

Norea Quirijnen is a vibrant young violist who grew up immersed in music, with a pianist and violist as older siblings creating a household filled with musical inspiration.

Following her success in winning two competitions in 2019 and receiving first prize and the audience award at the Princess Cristina Competition, Norea chose to continue her studies at the Musica Mundi School in Waterloo.

Her performance career has flourished with numerous solo appearances. As a member of LGT Young Soloists, she recently performed the Romanze from M. Bruch’s works in prestigious venues, including the Tonhalle in Zurich. Her orchestral experience spans several youth orchestras, and she has gained media recognition through appearances on the renowned Dutch television program “Podium Klassiek” and various live radio broadcasts.

At the heart of Norea’s musicianship lies her profound passion for chamber music. She actively performs with several ensembles and has received coaching from distinguished groups, including the Jerusalem Quartet, reflecting her commitment to collaborative musical excellence.
