Yael Adi Shmila, born in 2004, is an Israeli cellist. She studies in Michal Korman’s class. In July 2023, Yael performed as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, playing Tchaikovsky’s “Rococo Variations.” She has also performed multiple times as a soloist with the Ramat Gan Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Dr. Alex Wasserman, where she played, among others, Haydn’s Cello Concerti.
Yael has been an outstanding scholarship recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation from 2021 to 2024.
Yael is a graduate of the Jerusalem Music Centre in Mishkenot Sha’ananim, where she has participated in various excellence programs in the orchestra field, chamber music, and theoretical studies.
Yael is a graduate of the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and served in the army as an outstanding musician.
