Yue-Xin Pei

Yue-Xin Pei began her violin journey at age 6 under the guidance of her grandfather, Xiujie Cao. She developed her artistry at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Professor Elisabeth Kropfitsch and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree with Professor Elina Vähälä. In April 2025, she will advance to a Soloist Master’s program at the Berlin University of Arts under Professor Mark Gothoni.

Pei made her solo debut in 2013 with the Qingdao Theatre Symphony Orchestra, launching what has become an impressive career. Her competition achievements include first prize at the International Music Competition for Young Artists in Qingdao, first prize at the 2nd Edition of China-Spain International Music Competition (2021), and first prize at the 9th Enkor International Competition.

Her international recognition continued with third prize at the prestigious 29th International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach (2023) and second prize at the Tokyo International Music Competition (2024).

Yue-Xin’s trajectory from early family mentorship to top-tier European conservatory training demonstrates both her natural talent and dedication to achieving the highest levels of artistic excellence.
